If you don't play music yourself but are interested in hosting a musician or group for a community music event, please use the signup below. Your porch, your rules. And if you have neighbourhood kids who want to set up a lemonade and cookie stand, invite them to do so and keep the money for future entrepreneurial endeavours! For porch hosts, lawn signs promoting live music in Carleton Place will be dropped off closer to the event.

There is no charge for Carleton Place Porchfest, one of the exciting Carleton Place events! If you wish to show your appreciation for the performers during this vibrant community music event, donations can be made to the Lanark County Food Bank, The Hunger Stop, which supports those in need while you enjoy live music in Carleton Place.
Heather Adeney creates carefully crafted songs, which she sings while playing the electric bass or the acoustic guitar. Her tunes are full of harmony and often feature syncopated or funky rhythms. Her lyrics lean towards the unexpected. She enjoys collaborating with her songwriting sister Kathryn.
The songs started coming as her children were leaving. But being late to the party in no way mellowed Kath's rebellious spirit, and her nerdily funny songs of love and family and being human are as likely to be 10 chords and some lies, as 3 chords and the truth.
Fred, a retired carpenter and back-to-the-lander, stopped swinging a hammer and started strumming a jerry-rigged four string tenor guitar a while back. Making up songs, often stories, soon wormed its way into his brain. His songs are quirky, delightful, touching and utterly original.
Some concerts entertain. A Kay Francis concert reminds audiences they are not alone. Through unexpected stories, heartfelt songwriting, and moments of disarming humour, the classically trained vocalist creates contemporary folk performances that leave people feeling seen, understood, and grateful for our shared humanity.
Every song has a defining turning point, and for Darren LaBrash, that moment arrived in 2019, when he began attending songwriting groups. Playing and receiving feedback transformed a quiet passion into an artistic pursuit. Since then, Darren has met songwriters from the Ottawa Valley. Today, his original music reflects eras in his life, and trinkets of thoughts that made their way to paper.
The Revolting Children from the Mississippi MUDDS production of "Matilda the Musical" give you a sneak peek of the high-energy songs and dances from their upcoming show. Matilda is the beloved story by Roald Dahl about a little girl with a big imagination overcoming incredible odds. Music by Tim Minchin.
Created through Riversong Players' immersive Youth Summer Intensive, this dynamic showcase features songs and scenes from The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. Follow a new generation of demigods on their quest at Carleton Place Porchfest, then experience the complete adventure this September at Almonte Old Town Hall.
S'MauKen Music was born in 2021 when Mau & Ken started jamming together. This guitar-keyboard duo shares a love of many musical genres reflected in their diverse repertoire from country classics & old rock'n roll to pop & jazz standards. They're happy to be joined for CP Porchfest 2026 by OVCMHOF Inductee Judi Moffatt-Hill & local favourite Brad Munro.
A member of The Ragged Flowers and The Maywoods, Nathan is a friendly neighbourhood folkie and co-founder of porchfests in Almonte and now Carleton Place. He is hosting a "folk porch" featuring five of his singer-songwriter friends and will add his own set to the proceedings.
Mike Wattie is a cover singing busker and was a member of a local group called "Judge a Book" for more than 15 years. Writing and singing original songs is a newer endeavor with fresh challenges and rewards. His songs often feel like expressions of longing that find the magic of what was there all along, and when shared, strive to establish human connection and and healing.
